Yolanda Smilez, Principle Host of “Tickle Me Tuesday”
Yolanda Smilez is intelligent, strong, and also LOL funny. Her smile alone captivates and commands your attention even before she speaks. In 2010, Yolanda began her journey in comedy with one of Upstate NY’s largest and longest running urban comedy entertainment companies, “Funny 4 Money.” She currently works under Smilez Entertainment.
Yolanda hosts many comedy fundraiser for her community. She is the host of the new jack segment once a month for upcoming comics to participate in a major show promoted by Robin Hood entertainment. In Rochester, she is the CEO of the urban award show called the “ROC Awards.” This is a platform created to celebrate the arts, local businesses and to honor of local citizens. These and many other opportunities have led her to travel from city to city, opening for known comics such as Talentt Dafunnyman, Michael Blackson, DL Hughley, Eddie Griffin, Thea, Bill Bellamy, Tommy Davidson and many others who have appeared on major comedy networks such as “Comic View”, “Laffapalooza”, “Comedy Central”, DEF Comedy Jam, including such names as Talentt Dafunnyman, Michael Blackson, DL Hughley, Eddie Griffin, Thea, Bill Bellamy, Tommy Davidson, etc..
Tickle Me Tuesday Comedy radio show will have you laughing in your car or in the comfort of your home. The Tickle Me Tuesday team consists of Yolanda Smilez with co-hosts Comedian Juicy LaCarla and Comedian Char B.
Juicy LaCarla has been doing comedy for three years, and she is the co-founder of the all-female improve group LIPS. She started her career with the formal group etch sketch, now known as the LOL superstars. This led her to many different acting roles in local plays.
Comedian Char B has been doing comedy for over 10 years. Her style of comedy is directed toward pop and current events and she keeps you updated through humor. She is also a member of the all -female improve group LIPS. Hosting her own open mic on Monday night for about a year led Char B onto many stages and comedy videos.
The music on Tickle Me Tuesday will be played by John Glenn, better known as DJ Kutz. He has been a DJ for over 7 years. He has a heart and passion for music. DJ Kutz has DJ’d for many parties and major events. His personality goes beyond the 1’s and 2’s, and he is also an actor. He has landed a role in a local web series called Intersection. Dj Kutz has done many voice overs for different plays here in Rochester.
Tickle Me Tuesday will have a mixer of different entertainment such as comedy sets from local and professional comedians, prank calls, day to day topics, and current events, using humor to relate to all walks of life. DJ Kutz will have you grooving with the latest and new hits.
