About Sir Vandell

Vandell D. Marshall, a native of Rochester, NY, is no stranger to hard work and perseverance. With a degree in Human Resources and Christian Education, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Vandell got his start in radio under Pastor James Cooper and the RSpirit Online team, where he interviewed Mayor Lovely Warren, Councilwoman Loretta Scott and a host of other Rochester greats.

Born and raised in the church, a minister serving several churches, and a single father of 2 adult and 2 teenage children, there’s no signs of him slowing down.

Vandell is also the owner of Vandell’s Closet, an upscale boutique, he’s a fashion consultant and stylist, looking to make you a fashion legend.

About Lady Star

Lady Star Simmons is the epitome of someone who works hard, is very committed, and unselfishly gives of herself. Married for 26 years with 2 adult sons, a granddaughter and grandson, Lady Star has become the liaison of hospitality for several elite events and she coordinates galas throughout the Rochester area.

Widely known as a “fashionista” and “diva,” she is very active in the community and is a mentor to several young women and girls. Through the guidance of her husband, entertainment producer & promoter, Grand Tone, and her mentors, Gaynelle Wethers and Cheryl McKeiver, Lady Star has assisted with coordinating VIP receptions for the Annual Mayor’s Ball, Roc The Park Urban Music Festival, The Breakthru Magazine Celebration Gala, The Afrikan American Festival 10th Anniversary Celebration, The Penthouse, and the Perkins Mansion.

She is currently a mentor for the Women Helping Girls organization, a styling assistant for Breakthru Magazine, an active member of Roc Royal Entertainment, coordinator for the Baden Street Gala, and she has recently embarked on her own business venture named Lady Star Unlimited.
